desserts!

tracy tempted me with a dessert menu from the Canele’s website and we got all excited and planned a dessert day 2 weeks in advance. HAHA.

desserts, people. how can anyone say no?

tracy and i with our FEAST. we chose to sit in the middle so that we will get better access to the food. HAHAHA. omggggg. 11 cakes, two plates of macaroons and one meringue.

and now, the batting lineup. some of my favourites for the night:

tiramisu. it’s not your traditional ladyfingers kind of tiramisu, but it was cheesy enough and me likey.

there’s something very different about their cheesecake. ok i didnt take a good look at the cakes’ names. we just anyhow ordered them. cheesecake was good.

this is the sour cherry pie. the crust was sweet and the sourness just complemented the cherry pie. i declare this my favourite.

ok no i declare THIS my favourite. it’s.. a chocolate cake.a rich dense chocolate cake that has no BS like chocolate ganache or cream or whatever crap. it’s just.. a dense cake. OH MY GOD.

this was pretty good too.

and the unexpected big turnout! it’s a lao da and his gang thing.

we got to the restaurant first, and so we got seats, and when the guys turned up we only had a seat left for them, so “lao da”(gang leader in chinese) sat down, his young punks stood behind him quietly, and the “lao da” tried to tan(2) pan(4) (negotiate in chinese) with us. hahahaha in the middle of the restaurant. then as usual we made too much noise again. young punks.

I AM THE REAL LAO DA OK.
